Japan revises up economic growth rate for Oct-Dec 2012 to 0.2%

(MENAFN) The Japanese government announced that the country's economic growth for the October-December 2012 period has been revised up to 0.2 percent, reported Xinhua News.

The new annualized rate is compared with February's preliminary data of a decline of 0.4 percent.

On a quarterly basis, the three-month real gross domestic product (GDP) remained flat, whereas the preliminary report expected a contraction of 0.1 percent.

It is worth noting that the recent data indicates that Japan's economy is rebounding.
