Over the weekend, loads of dads from the NYC Dads Group along with their families flocked downtown to Le Poisson Rouge Nightclub for a Baby Loves Disco afternoon mega-dance party. ?The space during the evening is a swanky nightclub for adults, but once a month it's converted into the ultimate day-club for the baby, toddler, and preschooler set. ?A talented D.J. spins the latest pop-rock hits as well as coordinates games like "Simon Says" while the parents and their tots get down on the dance floor. ?The vibe was intoxicating for all of us!
For the more artistic crew, you could hang out in the lounge area doing crafty projects like cookie decorating sponsored by Freshmade NYC, collages with The Jewish Museum, Valentine's Day projects with the engaging team from New York Kids Club, or be thrilled by the live Puppet Show from Pennydog Puppet Productions. ?Hungry or Thirsty? ?Kid-friendly snacks and drinks were available for the taking (free)...and a cash bar serving beer for the parents. ?There was a little something for everyone at this wonderful destination for parents and their children. ?Here is our brief photojournal documenting the experience! ?If you missed the Valentine's Day themed Baby Loves Disco over the weekend in New York City, look out for the next one on March 10, 2013.?or check listings in your area as it's offered in venues nationwide!
