LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Style Media is tapping into America's obsession with wealth, celebrity and power to bring viewers another dose of "Life Styles of the Rich and the Famous" in 2013, while actively developing a glamour industry reality show produced by Charlize Theron.
The network announced Theron's "Glam Squad" and the return of the celebrity-centric show that made Robin Leach famous, along a two other new series called "Pop Style" and "Luxe Life Miami," on Tuesday.
Leach will not be involved in the new and improved "Life Styles," but Style will stay faithful to the format of the original series he hosted between 1984 and 1995.
Produced by RelativityREAL with Television 360 and Rysher Entertainment, the show will take viewers on a "humorous, informative and fun" ride through the most glamorous locations where the world's wealthy elite mix and mingle.
Tom Forman and Brad Bishop are executive producing for RelativityREAL with Daniel Rappaport and Scott Lambert for Television 360 and Patrick Gunn at Rysher.
"Glam Squad" navigates the world of make-up and hair glam squads by focusing on three beauty teams gunning for one job each episode, resulting in a behind-the-scenes look into the high-stakes and unpredictable business.
Theron will executive produce with her Denver & Deliah Films' partners Beth Kono and A.J. Dix in conjunction with Bunim-Murray Productions' Jonathan Murray and Gil Goldschein. William Shively is also executive producer.
Returning original programming include the sixth season of "Giuliana & Bill" and the third season of "Tia & Tamera." Both are set to premiere this summer.
